Holiday Gift Guide
Here are some holiday gift ideas for you, your friends, family, coworkers or yourself!
I love these because they are super comfy but also have a supportive memory foam bottom. Inexpensive too!
This is an easy way to keep accountable with how much water you drink. This is convenient to take with you wherever you go. No excuses.
Yes you can use this to make fun lattes, but I use this daily to mix my creatine, collagen, protein powder etc. It is so easy to use, takes 2 AA batteries and mixes instantly!
If anyone sees me locally, I am always walking with my weighted vest! I love this one because of it's adjustable straps which helps distribute the weight evenly and helps support your back. This helps prevent bone density, burns extra calories and helps improve strength. I recommend buying one that's 10% your body weight.
I drink this one every night and definitely notice a difference in my sleep. It helps support the immune system our response to stress ('tis the season!) and is loaded with antioxidants. It's so warm and cozy and I look forward to drinking it before bed every night.
This is a big purchase but worth every penny. I love mine because it keeps me accountable for my activity and steps daily. It's very user friendly and this one has a GPS and heart rate monitor!
To go along with your new Apple watch, I love using this app daily to keep me track of my daily steps. The best part? It's a free step counter that hooks up to your iphone or Apple watch and you earn rewards! I just got a gift card for Amazon, just by banking my steps. It's a great motivator and a supportive community. This is my link to join and we can support each other, it's all free!
I love these adjustable wrist weights for walking and pilates. Once in a while I will wear these WITH my weighted vest for added resistance. I've had these for several years now and they are even waterproof if you get caught in a rain storm.
By far the best blender I have ever owned, and I've had a lot through the years. This is pricey but worth every penny. Make soups, smoothies and so much more. It has a self cleaning option and lasts for many years. Mine is over 15 years old!
My absolute favorite coffee, with superior quality that tests against mold, toxins and contaminants. It's completely clean, organic and taste far more superior than typical coffee brands. Added bonus, use this link and the coupon code LAURENKELLY20 to get 20% off your first order.
Supplements That I love:
The active ingredient in turmeric which a very powerful anti-inflammatory (think of all of those holiday cocktails and goodies that can cause inflammation. I love this one from Pure Encapsulations because it contains bioperine (black pepper) that helps the absorption.
I put 1 teaspoon of this in my coffee every morning. It's organic, non GMO and loaded with adaptogens -which are herbs and other plants that help the body manage stress. As a matter of fact, this helps with focus and concentration by alleviating brain fog. Thanks to perimenopause and menopause!
For all of my friends that have trouble sleeping, did you know that this form of Magnesium helps promote rest and healthy sleep, as well as supporting bone density (this is for all of my menopause friends!) Another key point with this brand is that it's chelated which helps the bioavailability and absorption.
This is my favorite collagen from Sparkle Wellness for The Galveston Diet. I use a scoop each daily (easily dissolvable especially with my frother!) It tastes great and evidently it helps promote hair and nails strength as well enhances skin elasticity. I'll take whatever help I can get!
Did you know that women need a minimum of 25 grams of fiber daily? Of course as a nutritionist I will always recommend to get that directly from food, but I am also a realist. Some days you just need a little help and I will add a scoop of this fiber as shown above.
This isn't your regular cinnamon you find in the grocery store. This one is organic, non GMO and a very strong anti-inflammatory. It's packed with anti-oxidants in addition to being a potent anti-inflammatory. I add it to my yogurt bowls, smoothies, coffee and my baked goods.
