The whole reason why I created this recipe in the air fryer was so to save on oven space, especially during the holidays. They cook fast, require no oven, and deliver warm, soft cookies in just minutes.
They are great for small batches, late night cravings, or quick treats made with simple gluten free ingredients. This method creates consistent texture and makes gluten free baking easier for anyone wanting a quick homemade dessert.
These are gluten free, very low in sugar and less than 100 calories each. These air fryer chocolate chip cookies are decadent and indulgent while also maintaining your healthy lifestyle.
Recipe Ingredients

- Butter - Use 100% grass fed, organic unsalted butter which just plain old tastes better!
- Monk fruit - (Or sugar, sugar alternative of your choice) but I used the granular form of Monk Fruit for this recipe. The brand I use all the time is this one.
- Brown sugar alternative - This is a sugar free alternative to brown sugar and is so useful in baking sweet treats. This one is vegan, gluten free and contains no artificial sweeteners.
- Egg - Use cage free, organic eggs for extra nutrients and nutrition.
- Pure vanilla extract - I use pure vanilla extract which doesn't contain any artificial flavors or additives, it's just pure vanilla made from alcohol. I use this one.
- Baking soda - I use a GMO-FREE, aluminum free like this baking soda in all of my baked goods.
- Gluten free all purpose flour - This gluten free all purpose flour is so versatile and can be substituted for equal amounts of regular all purpose flour.
- Sugar free chocolate chips - Lily's chocolate chips are sugar free and sweetened only with stevia and erythritol.
- Dark chocolate chunks - I use these dark chocolate chunks that are organic with no refined sugar.
How To Make These Air Fryer Chocolate Chip Cookies
Place butter in large skillet and allow to melt until lightly brown.
In a large bowl, combine browned butter, white sugar, and brown sugar. Whisk until smooth and glossy.

Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.

Stir in baking soda, flour, and salt until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.

Fold in dark chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chunks.

Cover and refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes. Preheat the air fryer to 315°F (157°C) for 3–5 minutes.
Scoop dough into 11⁄2-tablespoon portions and flatten slightly. Line the air fryer basket with a single sheet of parchment paper.
Arrange cookies in a single layer, leaving space between each.

Air fry for 8–10 minutes, or until edges are golden and centers are set.

Let cookies cool in the basket for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Once cooled, remove and enjoy! The chocolate chips will be gooey and absolutely perfect.

Recipe Tips/ Mix In Substitutions
- Add some chopped nuts or seeds for added texture. I add a couple of tablespoons up to ¼ cup to the batter before I add the chocolate chips and chunks.
- I've made these with all different kinds of chips- sugar free white chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, salted caramel chips etc!
- Add some chopped up dried fruits like unsweetened dried cranberries, dried tart cherries, dried mango... the possibilities are endless!
- Chopped candy candy canes- (these are GMO free, gluten free and dye free), leftover candy bars, pretzels, shredded coconut.
