Impress your guests with these simple, delicious filet steaks. These are simple to make and are always a huge crowd pleaser.
I often day dream of my idea of the perfect kitchen. I know exactly what it looks like and let’s be honest, I have been dreaming about it for years.
Since I love to cook, I know it will be large and spacious with awesome professional quality appliances. It will be bright and I will enjoy cooking all types of dishes for my family.
This day dream inspired me to create this Ginger Teriyaki Filet, on my new gas range in my absolutely gorgeous dream kitchen.
This Asian inspired dish pairs perfectly with steamed or roasted vegetables, brown rice or quinoa. The marinade can also be used on a variety of meats such as chicken, pork and other cuts of beef.
Trust me, it’s THAT good that you will want to make it over and over again. And if you are like me you will make this so much that you won’t even need to look at the recipe anymore, you will easily memorize it.
I like simple recipes, especially when it comes to meat. Since I don’t eat it myself, I don’t want to spend a lot of time making it.
That does NOT make me selfish. I know plenty of people who wouldn’t even make meat because they don’t even want to touch it!
And let’s be honest, I don’t want to spend a lot of time on any recipe, I don’t care how delicious it is.
I paired these filets with Roasted Brussels Sprouts because, well, because they are roasted Brussels sprouts and I love them. I could eat the entire tray, but again, I am not selfish and I like to share.
Most of the time.
I also like to serve this with simple sautéed garlic spinach and maybe some quinoa. Simple is best for side dishes to accompany this filet because it is loaded with flavor.
Besides being ridiculously delicious, this recipe can be whipped up in no time, which makes this a perfect dish for entertaining. You don’t want to spend all of your time cooking while your guests are enjoying themselves, mingling and enjoying some cocktails.
That’s not fair.
My issue with entertaining is that everyone ends up in the kitchen. Why is that?
My kitchen is pretty small, even after we remodeled and knocked down a wall. Remember that dream kitchen I was talking about?
It will be much larger and will be more open for entertaining. For all of my friends that have average sized kitchens, I have great news for you!
Frigidaire has created professional grade appliances that fit standard sized kitchens! With the new Frigidaire Professional® collection, you can have reliable, heavy duty, professional-grade appliances in your home, without having to remodel.
This means you can give your kitchen a fresh new look in just one weekend. We just have to venture over to Lowe’s where the collection is available.
I had some fun on Lowes.com picking out all my favorites. You know, for that day when I am able to finally have my “dream” kitchen.
So what do you think???
First off, this HOUZER HammerWerks copper farmhouse sink is so dreamy, isn’t it? I will own that sink one day.
And then, how about the Frigidaire Professional 5 burner gas range? It even has a built in convection option.
Man, I regret not getting that. I don’t even know what I would make with the convection oven, but I want the option.
I love this French Door Frigidaire Refrigerator too. This is the best way to optimize space efficiently.
I love having my freezer on the bottom too. It just makes so much more sense to me.
And yes, in my dream kitchen I will have this Frigidaire microwave. It also has a convection option too.
I totally need two convection ovens, right? I think so.
I also love those grey cabinets and I bet they would look amazing with the dark hardwood floors. And what about those pendant lights?
All of these easy upgrades for your dream professional kitchen can be done in just ONE weekend, and all can be found at Lowe’s! It’s that easy.
Now let’s get back to that juicy, fancy-looking steak.
I am going to pretend I am cooking these babies on my grill pan on my new gas range.
What I love about this recipe besides the fact that it takes no time to prepare, it only requires just a few, basic ingredients that you most likely already have in your house.
My family eats a lot so I typically triple this recipe. And there are rarely leftovers.
Ginger Teriyaki Filet
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger root minced
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1/4 cup liquid aminos or soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon liquid Monk Fruit or sweetener or choice
- 1 1/2 pounds top sirloin filets
In a small bowl, mix water, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, honey and cornstarch. Stir thoroughly to ensure the cornstarch has been mixed in well.
Place the steak in a zip top bag and pour the marinade on top. Make sure the bag is sealed and shake until well blended.
Place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
When ready to cook the steaks, remove them from the bag and discard the leftover marinade.
Place steaks on a preheated grill pan and cook on each side for about 6-8 minutes, until you reach your desired degree of doneness.
*The internal temperature should read at least 145 degrees.
If you made this Ginger Teriyaki Filet or any of my other recipes, please come back and let me know. You guys know that I love to hear from you!
Thank you for stopping by and please come back again soon!
