Pecan Pralines might sound fancy but they are easy to make, sugar free, gluten free and made with only 6 simple ingredients! These are no bake and take less than 30 minutes to prepare.
Pecan Pralines
I am always searching for easy treats to make for friends, especially at the holidays. These are so delicious and we love them all year long.
Treats like these pecan pralines are so simple to make and delicious enough to give as holiday gifts. All of my dessert recipes are yummy, but these just might be my favorite.
Low Carb Truffles, No Bake Cookie Dough Bars, Healthy Homemade Snickers Bars and Fudgy Chocolate Brownies are also extremely popular recipes.
All of these would be even more yummy with some Eggnog Latte, Low Carb Bulletproof Hot Chocolate, Apple Chai Latte and definitely some Spiked Apple Cider.
Also, my cookbooks are both on sale now and would make a great gift! The Everything Wheat Free Diet Cookbook and The Greek Yogurt Cookbook are both the lowest prices I have seen!
Why You Should Make These Pecan Pralines
You can enjoy these delicious sweet treats guilt free. At less than 100 calories each, they are a portion controlled, an easy way to satisfy your sweet tooth without all of that inflammatory sugar and gluten.
I like to make these pecan pralines for gifts all year long and they are my go-to treat to bring to parties. Everyone loves them and this way I am guaranteed to be able to enjoy a dessert myself that is sugar free.
These babies will be ready in under 30 minutes and can easily be frozen ahead of time and taken out an hour before serving. All of the ingredients are easy to find and most likely are in your pantry already, especially if you follow a sugar free diet.
Recipe Ingredients
- Butter - I always use 100% grass fed, organic unsalted butter which just plain old tastes better!
- Monk fruit - I used the granular form of Monk Fruit for this recipe. The brand I use all the time is this one.
- Brown sugar substitute - This is a sugar free alternative to brown sugar and is so useful in baking sweet treats. This one is vegan, gluten free and contains no artificial sweeteners.
- Vanilla extract - I use pure vanilla extract which doesn’t contain any artificial flavors or additives, it’s just pure vanilla made from alcohol. I use this one.
- Heavy cream - A favorite over here is the Organic Whipping Cream from Trader Joe's that is located near the milk. Use whatever kind of whipping cream you like.
- Pecans - Raw, unsalted pecans work best in this recipe but you can also use salted pecans if you'd like. Just make sure you read the ingredients if your pecans are roasted because they always add unnecessary oils and other ingredients.
How To Make These Pecan Pralines
Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
In a saucepan over medium high heat, add the butter into the pan. Let cook until fully melted. Add in the white and brown sugars, continuously mixing until they melt into a brown sugar mixture.
Pour in the heavy cream and vanilla stirring together until all the ingredients are combined and melted together. Stir until boiling.
Once the caramelized mixture is boiling, stop stirring and let it boil for 1 minute. Add in the salt and stir briefly.
Pour in the pecans and stir, coating them fully. Bring the mixture to a boil once more before removing from the heat.
Let the saucepan sit on the stove for a few minutes. Take the prepared baking sheet and scoop 2 inch spoonfuls of the praline mixture and place on the parchment paper.
Let the pralines sit until they cool and harden completely. Refrigerate in an airtight container. SO EASY!

Recipe Tips
Not sugar free? You can easily use regular sugar and brown sugar for these sweet bites. Maybe cut down a bit to ¼ cup regular sugar and ½ cup brown sugar.
These are so freezer friendly. I cover with parchment paper and place in an airtight container and then take them out an hour or so before serving.
if you want to cut back on dairy you can use a vegan butter alternative (Trader Joe's makes a great one) and a whipping cream alternative (another awesome substitute from Trader Joe's that's vegan and dairy free) to make these more allergy friendly.
