These are super easy, healthy and insanely delicious candy that only have 4 ingredients, made in your slow cooker!
‘Tis the season for all of those holiday goodies!
I don’t know about you but I bake a TON doing the holidays and I love giving homemade goodies as gifts. I came across Crock Pot Candy over at Chocolate Chocolate and More and was intrigued.
I love the idea of making them in my slow cooker which frees up my oven for all of those cookies and gingerbread to bake!
I decided to make these a little healthier (and crispier!) and I am in love. Serious love.
I’ve made them for friends and two holiday parties already and they were a huge hit.
And aren’t we all trying to simplify as much as we can during the holidays?
I know I am, for sure.
The possibilities are endless with this recipe. And these are customizable.
Use whatever nuts you like, whatever kind of chocolate you like, make them however you’d like.
But you can use whatever chocolate you’d like. I’ve used dark chocolate, milk chocolate and a combination of both.
They all taste delicious. I personally love the mixture of dark and semi-sweet chocolate together.
I have used all different types of nuts (basically whatever I have in my house) and I have made them with and without the crispy rice.
I have added pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds and chia seed and I loved all of the different textures.
I have also added dried fruit which many people loved very much.
Me, personally, I don’t love chocolate with fruit so that’s not my favorite. Just being honest!
Tell me, what is better than the sweet and salty combo?
Nothing.
And these are a perfect, healthy alternative to the regular sugar filled treats and goodies that will surround you during the holidays. Better yet, use Lily’s Sugar Free Chocolate Chips instead.
They are sweetened with stevia and erythritol which are completely healthy sugar alternatives. The best part…Lily’s chocolate chips taste delicious!
No one will suspect they are sugar free!
Do you know that you can gain up to 10 pounds between Halloween and New Years? Many of us are consuming too much sugar regularly and then double that around the holidays!
Too much sugar causes inflammation in the body, spikes glucose levels, can increase risk for stroke diabetes and obesity. Isn’t that a great reason to make these sugar free?
By the way, when I make them for me I use Lily’s Chocolate Chips. When I make them for my family I usually use Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips and they are vegan, gluten free and dairy free.
Either way you make them (with sugar or without sugar) , they will be delicious. I promise.
You can also add some festive colored sprinkles to the tops before you set them in the refrigerator. They make a beautiful presentation, but personally I wouldn’t want the artificial colors.
But honestly the amount of sprinkles added to each cluster would be pretty small.
Since this batch makes ALOT of pieces of candy ( I didn’t even add the amount to the recipes because it really depends upon the size that you make them) I instantly froze half the second time I made them. These might be healthier but they still should be thought of as a treat.
Calories are calories and sugar is sugar. Unless of course you make them sugar free!
They can be super addictive.
And let’s just say I was digging in to that container in my fridge quite a few times. Avoid temptation and freeze them QUICKLY.
But the truth is that I will eat them straight out of the freezer. Even if I break a tooth or two 😉

I plan on giving these out as holiday gifts. I customize them for friends and family that might have food allergies or dietary restrictions.
I like to wrap them up in fancy holiday wrappings to make them look even prettier.
And don’t you love getting homemade gifts?
At this point, there’s nothing really I need so I would rather get something sweet. Don’t you agree?
I always bring these to holiday parties so I am guaranteed something healthy and sweet! I usually have to set some aside for myself right away because these always are the first to go.
I am not even joking. It’s annoying sometimes, but I have learned to set aside a secret stash.
Shhhh….don’t tell anyone…
