    holiday treats collage

These aren't the healthiest holiday recipes, but they sure are cute (and easy!) These are simple to make and they are definitely kid-friendly.   These are Christmas recipes that you will want to make every year and they make really cute gifts.  Why can't desserts look adorable?

    Rice Crispy Treat Holiday Presents

    Image 13

I use the original Rice Crispy Treats recipe except I use Erewhon Organic Gluten Free Crispy Brown Rice Cereal, mini marshmallows and organic butter.  You can also make my Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Treats and wrap them up!  Then you simply take Twizzler's Pull and Peel Cherry Licorice to wrap up the presents.  Cute, right?
These are crazy simple to make, but also cute enough to give as gifts!  Make them dairy free by using Earth Balance Buttery Spread. I've made them before with Earth Balance and they come out great!

    Pretzel Kisses

These are so easy to make and the kids love to help with these too (especially the mundane chore of unwrapping all the kisses 😉 ) Get creative with these! You can use kisses, peanut butter cups, kisses hugs…top them with different flavors of M & M's or even candied pecans! You can get the recipe for pretzel kisses here.

    Chocolate Covered Pretzels

These are so pretty and taste really great too.  And talk about being easy, there's nothing to these babies… melt chocolate, dip ends of pretzel rods in, cover with sprinkles or toppings of choice. BAM! You have adorable and delicious chocolate covered pretzels!  Feel free to use Enjoy Life chocolate chips if you are gluten or dairy free.

    Snowman Sugar Cookies

How cute are these guys?  I used my Simple Sugar Cookie recipe for these handsome snowmen.  You can use my Prosecco Buttercream Frosting or if you are looking for a frosting that is gluten and dairy free, you can try this one.  You simply cut black licorice to make the hat (I used three pieces progressively getting smaller from bottom to top), raisins for the eyes and mouth and cinnamon candies for the nose.  Crazy easy and almost too cute to eat!

I have so many other cookie and treat recipes for the holidays too! Some of my favorite Christmas cookies and treats are:

Red Velvet Cookie Cups with Prosecco Buttercream

    Mini Chocolate Cheesecakes

    Dairy Free Vegan Peppermint Fudge

    Simple Sugar Cookies

    Pistachio Cookies

    Cranberry White Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies

Almond Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies (dairy free, gluten free)

    Peanut Butter Bars

    Gingerbread Bread Pudding

    Candied Pecans

    Maple Pecan Brittle

    Cranberry Apple Granola Cookie Bars

    No Bake Almond Butter Balls

    Peanut Butter Chocolate Crispy Treats

    Raw Vegan Chocolate Coconut Fudge

Remember if you want a treat that isn't that healthy, have ONE! Try not to overindulge which I know is so hard around the holidays.  That's why it's a good idea to make some healthier options too.  Thanks for stopping by~

    Have fun baking!

Look at all those creative goodies for the holidays! I love the idea of trying some of these recipes out with the kids. The decorated pretzel rods would be a ton of fun!
