Why You Should Make This Chocolate Banana Protein Smoothie
I promise the kids won't even know how healthy this is or that there is actually spinach in there. Once you add the cacao powder, it does a fantastic job of covering up any slight green color from the spinach.
Trust me, I know all about sneaking in vegetables and nutrients whenever I can. Then when they get older like tweens and teenagers, you can easily explain just how important vegetables are for vitamins, minerals and nutrients and hopefully once they understand the reason why, they will be more open to trying more of them.
This is perfect for breakfast or a mid-morning snack (that's when I usually have it). This protein smoothie is packed with protein, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and is great either before or after a workout.
It's super simple to make and easy enough to take with you on the go which is always helpful on those busy mornings.
And we all know how annoying and hectic those mornings can be. Let's try to simplify things and make a little easier, even if it's just a tiny bit easier.

Recipe Ingredients
This yummy protein smoothie is loaded with all wholesome ingredients that you and feel great about giving to your family. It is an added bonus that it's also creamy and tastes delicious too.
Cacao powder- I decided to make a delicious smoothie using raw cacao powder. It's fun to top my smoothie with raw cacao nibs. They are also packed with antioxidants and they add a wonderful crunch too.
You can easily find these in your local grocery store or amazon which I linked here to make it easy for you.
Protein Powder- I used Sunwarrior Classic Protein Powder. It's raw, organic, gmo-free, and free of any artificial flavors, sweeteners, additives or colors.
You can use whatever protein powder you like, just make sure you read all the ingredients. Please read the ingredient list which is even more so important than your calories, protein, fat and carbohydrates.
Unsweetened Almond Milk - I used unsweetened almond milk to make sure there are no added sugars or ingredients in this protein smoothie.
Banana and spinach - fresh is always best.
