I know this may not make sense, but I like having a smoothie bowl better than a smoothie. Weird? It might be. Maybe it’s because I love eating soup so much? Or maybe it’s because I love adding toppings to my ice cream and this feels similar? No clue. I just know I love smoothie bowls with lots of healthy toppings.
This smoothie bowl is packed with protein from not only the protein powder, but also from the chia and hemp seeds, which makes it a wonderful pre-workout or even post-workout meal. I also added lots of healthy nuts and seeds to balance this out and to give it a little crunchy texture.
Cherry Lime Smoothie Bowl
- 1/2 cup cherries pitted
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1/2 lime juiced
- sliced almonds
- hemp seeds
- chia seeds
- sliced cherries
Blend the first 5 ingredients together in a high speed blender until smooth.
Add your toppings and serve immediately.
