There are so many smoothie recipes out there, but this one just might be my favorite.  This pomegranate berry smoothie is healthy and sweet and so easy to make.

Oh and it's really pretty too.  All of you smoothie lovers out there know that not all smoothies are pretty, which shouldn't even matter really but this one is gorgeous.

Smoothies are quick and easy and can be a great way to sneak protein into your breakfast.  Greek yogurt is packed with protein and the pomegranates and berries add natural sweetness.

Did I mention that this recipe is in The Greek Yogurt Cookbook?   Of course there is a whole chapter dedicated to smoothies.

If you re looking for some more healthy smoothie recipes, you will love this delicious Coconut Quinoa Smoothie, Strawberry Watermelon Smoothie, Blueberry Lavender Smoothie and definitely this Pineapple Mint Jalapeño Smoothie!

Recipe Tips for Making This Pomegranate Berry Smoothie

Go ahead and use either frozen or fresh mixed berries. The frozen berries are so easy to always keep in the house and they add some extra thickness to this smoothie.

You can easily use plain Greek yogurt and add the amount if sweetness you desire. I use honey in this recipe but you can easily use maple syrup, or a sugar free sweetener of your choice.

We have also added ½ banana to this that adds a bunch of creaminess and of course some extra Potassium! And with that being said, you can also add a ½ avocado to this berry smoothie to add creaminess, potassium and tons of fiber.

Full disclosure though, if you do add the delicious avocado, it will definitely taste yummy but it will be more of a dark red/brown color.
