Are you always wondering what to eat for breakfast? You want to eat something healthy that helps keep you full, but there are so many options. Wait until you see what’s in MY breakfast bowl!
I was so excited to try Silk’s new Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative! I have many clients who have a dairy allergy, looking to limit dairy or vegan and this showed up at the perfect time.
I couldn’t believe how delicious it was. It was creamy, smooth and free of any artificial colors, flavors or sweeteners.
I was given black cherry and pineapple (two of my faves) and loved them both. People ask me all the time what I eat for breakfast.
They are looking for something heathy but that will help keep them full (unlike processed carbs).
Personally I love (mostly all) options fr breakfast. It has always been my favorite meal.
I have always said I wish restaurants would offer “breakfast samplers” where you can order a small portion of everything. I am sure some restaurants that I have never heard of offer this, but I have never been fortunate enough to have seen it.
Honestly, I go through stages where I can eat the same thing for breakfast for a week or two straight and then I get sick of it and look for something different.
That’s where this beautiful breakfast bowl comes in.
I love this breakfast bowl because it is filled with protein, healthy omega fatty acids, fiber, vitamins and nutrients. It’s a bowl of super foods!
I love eating as many vitamins, minerals and nutrients in my breakfast to make sure that I am getting them in. Some days get so busy that I can not put as much focus on my diet as I’d like.
I think we can all relate to that. Especially if you are a working parent.
I also tell my clients (and friends and family) that should always practice mindful eating. I realize most nutritionists will tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, which is definitely true, but I always want you to listen to your body first, not just eat because you think you are supposed to.
Does that make sense?
So if you wake up one morning and you are not hungry, then wait to eat when you start getting hungry. If you wake up ravenously starving another morning, then fuel your bodies and eat something healthy.
And on the days that you listen to your bodies and realize you want to eat something healthy, why not mix it up with this gorgeous bowl?
- 1 container of Silk Dairy Free Yogurt Alternative I used black cherry flavor
- 1/4 cup cooked quinoa
- 1/4 cup blueberries
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 3 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
- 1 tablespoon sliced almonds
- 1/4 cup sliced kiwi
- Mix together as you like and enjoy!
Silk Dairy-Free Yogurt Alternative is also vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free and carrageenan-free.
What is carrageenan? It is a common additive used in many products as a thickener but it has been shown to cause inflammation, skin rashes and digestive problems.
I personally do not buy any products that contain carrageenan.
Silk also contains 6 grams of protein per serving (protein helps keep you full!) And how gorgeous is this breakfast bowl??
I know, it’s only food, but I like pretty things.
And did you see the cute spoon?? I don’t know what I am in love with more…the breakfast bowl or the spoon.
If you made this breakfast bowl or any of my other recipes, please come back and let me know. I love to hear from you!
