Say goodbye to juice boxes, sodas and sugar filled drinks.  These naturally flavored waters are the perfect, healthy, refreshing drinks.

This gives the phrase "taste the rainbow" a whole new meaning.   These waters have no added sugars, preservatives, additives or chemicals.

They only contain all whole, clean ingredients.

Generally when you eat (or drink) bright, vibrant, colorful foods then you are ensuring that you are consuming a whole bunch of vitamins and minerals. That is why I always advise to eat (or drink) as many colors as possible.

Try to avoid the boring tan, white or bland colored foods. Or if you just can't avoid them, try to sprinkle in some color every now and then.

That's where these gorgeous waters come in!

If you are looking for some more healthy beverage recipes, you will love this Apple Chai Latte, Chamomile Latte and definitely Low Carb Bulletproof Hot Chocolate!

Why You Should Make these Naturally Flavored Waters

There really is no "recipe" for these drinks.  Simply place the ingredients on the bottle of a mason jar or a pitcher and add water.

You can drink them immediately, but if you let them sit for at least 30 minutes, the full flavors will shine through. I get it if you are feeling impatient and want to drink them immediately.

I like the make them first thing in the morning while I am enjoying my morning tea so the flavors can infuse into the water. And then when I am finished with my beloved comforting tea, I can start sipping on one of these beauties.

So clearly I was going with the whole "rainbow theme" but you can use any fruit or herbs that you like.  Get creative!

Use whatever fruits or herbs you have in your house or whatever you like. Try different combinations of flavors, you never know which one you might fall in love with.

If there are certain fruits that you like more than others, go for it.  Slice them all (except the pomegranate seeds) to really enhance the flavors.

Blueberry water is fantastic.  Who even knew that blueberry water was a thing?

Smashing, slicing or whatever you call it gently releases natural fruit juice in the water for a very light, subtle taste.

    Recipe Tips

I know all these pictures are relatively the same.  But they were just so pretty.

I had to take a lot of them.  And with spring finally here, we are all going to be drinking more water (hopefully).

Why not have a little fun and drink PRETTY water?

I used concord grapes for the "purple" water because of their deep purple, almost black, vibrant color.  One word of caution: concord grapes permanently stain everything.

I think my favorite was the Blackberry Grape water (despite the stained white t-shirt) but that Pineapple Lemon just might be a close second.

Cucumber mint water is one that you might commonly find in spas or wellness centers. It is so light and refreshing.

This is very appealing. So far I only knew the pineapple and lemon because they are common. But now, I can enjoy my water more. Water never looked so colorful! Thanks for this Lauren!

I love doing this but always get busy and forget. About how long do you think the water would keep in the fridge?

Hi Franki! I usually only let them sit for a day or so because otherwise they get kind of gross 🙂 Hope you like them!

So what would you recommend for portion ratio? Say with our average size bottled water which is what, 16 to 20 ounces?

Hi Christine! I didn't put the portion sizes because I figured it would be a personal preference. I put about 2-3 tablespoons of fruit into the 20 ounce mason jars I used. Hope you like them! 🙂

You can use frozen blueberries, but they might work best of they are slightly thawed and mashed to let the natural juices come out. Let me know how you like it Cynthia!

Also try putting in some ginger root, this goes in all my water, it helps the digestive tract.

I make mine by the gallon. I slice one lemon, one lime, one small cucumber and several sprigs of mint. I refrigerate overnight. It's alkaline and full of nutrition. It does the body good. If you need to sweeten use the natural herb stevia.

DYNAMITE!!! Gorgeous photographs. I need to drink 3 liters of water per day for my new kidneys, and I always feel like I'm drowning. Also, I have enough empty Mason jars to start my own store. Thank you sooooooo much!!!

Mmm! I can't get enough of naturally flavored water. I recently gave up pop. GASP! It was my go-to when I was having a bad day and I cut it out cold turkey. I love water but adding a little variety really helps to stay in track. I can't wait to try the blueberry! I would've never thought of that. My current favorite is strawberry lemom! Give it a whirl. But do not squeeze the lemon or it will completely overpower the yummy strawberry freshness. Thanks for the post!
