Who doesn’t love cookie dough? And chocolate chip cookies? No worries here, this dip is safe to eat, doesn’t contain any egg at all and it’s completely healthy! It’s not only healthy but actually really good for you. This dip contains all whole ingredients and tastes delicious. Like, crazy delicious. If you are looking for a fun dip for the Superbowl, I think you just found it.
Cacao is basically raw chocolate bean, without all the milk, sugar and other additives that make up processed chocolate. Raw cacao is packed with antioxidants that destroy free radicals in your body. These free radicals can accelerate the aging process and may even increase your risk for heart disease and certain cancers. That basically means cacao has good stuff that fights the bad stuff. Flax seed contains omega-3-fatty-acids, powerful antioxidants and fiber. I love raw honey. Basically raw honey is honey that has not been processed or treated in any way.
The beauty of this dip is it can be served as an appetizer (and a great healthy alternative to not-so-healthy dishes) or even as a dessert. And a healthy dessert at that. Or you could just spoon it out of the container.
Not that I would know anything about that.
Healthy Chocolate Cookie Dough Dip
- 1/2 ripe banana mashed
- 1 scoop protein powder
- 1 tablespoon natural peanut butter or nut butter of choice
- 2 tablespoons ground flax seed
- 2 tablespoons raw honey
- 2 tablespoon cacao powder
- 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips or cacao nibs
Mix all of the ingredients except chocolate chips together in a medium size bowl.
Fold in chocolate chips and mix again.
Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve,
Serve with sliced fruit, organic graham crackers, pretzels or whatever you'd like.
This makes the perfect after school snack for the kids. Just slice up an apple and you are good to go. And the little ones won’t even realize how healthy it is. Seriously, pretty much anything goes with this dip. Trust me, I think I’ve tried everything. 🙂
