I have grilled corn many different ways, with the shucks, without the shucks, with half the shucks... it seems the only way ALL of my family like it is with the shucks on. When I removed the shucks and grilled them, they became too dry. With the shucks on, it left a wonderful smokey flavor without the charred black on the corn kernels (some little people in my house complained about that).
Ingredients
- 4 fresh ears of corn preferably local, organic corn
Instructions
- Prepare grill with high heat; about 500 degrees F.
- Place the corn directly on the preheated grill. Cover and grill both sides of corn evenly, about 15 minutes each side.
- Remove corn from the grill (careful it will be HOT!)
- Wait a few minutes to allow corn to cool before removing husks and silks. Serve immediately.

That's it! I know, super easy, right? Grilled corn just tasted better than boiled corn (in my opinion). Check out your local farmers markets for organic corn to ensure the freshest and healthiest corn available. Thanks for stopping by!

This looks yummy. We picked up some corn on the cob and I boiled it a few days ago. Can't beat fresh corn for .19 cents an ear.

You know we have the best corn here in Indiana....if I do say so myself! 🙂 Love grilled corn. YUMMY!

Hi Lauren, I was surprised to see corn on your website. I don't think there is a place where you can get corn that is not genetically modified. All corn has been hybrid-ized to make it yield more per stalk and make it more disease and weather resistant. This process has made the fructose corn syrup content much higher per kernel, and the disease resistance in the plant attacks the human immune system. Even the organic versions are still all hybrid. Corn has been my favorite all my like and I have stopped eating it.

Hi Jackie. I knew I would get some people asking questions about corn and GMO's. I got my corn from a verified GMO-free local farmer. This means that the farmers are fully compliant with non-GMO standards. I do agree with you about how scary these GNO's are. I use this website to help me keep track of where to find non-GMO foods!
