Homemade Peanut Butter with Flax Seed

Easy to make with just two simple ingredients, this Homemade Peanut Butter with Flax Seed taste so much better than store bought.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 cups raw peanuts you can use roasted or any variety you like
  • ¼ cup ground flax seed

Instructions

  • Place peanuts and flax into Vitamix, other high speed blender or food processor.
  • Turn blender or food processor on the highest setting until all peanuts are completely blended.
  • Place in airtight container to store. Mix well before serving.

Notes

To store: Place in airtight container at room temperature for up to 7 days.
Vitamix users:  Turn machine on then slowly bring to Variable 10, then switch to High. Make sure you use the the tamper (or spoon) to scrape the sides of the Vitamix to make sure all the peanuts are well blended to desired consistency.
Other blender or food processor users:  If you don't have a temper, make sure you stop the machine and thoroughly scrape the sides to get all the peanut mixture well blended to desired consistency.
