Blood Orange Green Tea Chia Energy Drink

Packed with fiber, protein, antioxidants and healthy fats, this Blood Orange Green Tea Chia Energy Drink is perfect right before your next workout!

Ingredients

  • 1 green tea bag
  • 8 ounces of boiling hot water
  • juice from 1 blood orange
  • 2 tablespoons Bob's Red Mill chia seeds

Instructions

  • Place tea bag into boiling water in a mason jar and allow to steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove tea bag.
  • Add blood orange juice and chia seeds. Cover and shake well.
  • Place in the refrigerator to cool for at least an hour.
  • Drink before a workout or to fight the afternoon slump.

Notes

These will last a couple of days in the refrigerator. Remember that chia seeds expand so you might have to add a small amount of liquid and stir again.
