Snickerdoodle Bars

Ingredients

cup
whole wheat flour

cup
all purpose flour

teaspoon
cream of tartar
½
teaspoon
baking soda

cup
+ 1 tablespoon unrefined sugar
3
tablespoons
butter
room temperature
1
tablespoon
honey
1
teaspoon
vanilla
1
egg
2
teaspoon
cinnamon
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Grease a 9 x 13
baking pan
with cooking spray or butter.
Combine flours, baking soda and cream of tartar in a small bowl. Mix well.
Mix ¾ cup sugar and butter with an electric mixer in a large bowl on medium speed until well blended.
Add honey, vanilla and egg. Mix well.
Press dough evenly into prepared pan.
Mix together cinnamon and remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar in a small bowl and spread on top of dough.
Bake in preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until toothpick placed in center of pan comes out clean. The edges should be golden brown.
Allow to cool on counter for a few minutes before slicing,
