Sweet and Spicy Roasted Chickpeas

- 30 ounces chickpeas (2 15 ounce cans) rinsed, drained and thoroughly patted dry
- ⅓ cup 100% pure maple syrup
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 1½ teaspoon chili powder
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
After the chickpeas are rinsed, drained and thoroughly patted dry, place in a medium bowl.
Remove any excess "skins" by picking through with your hands.
Add the remaining ingredients and stir well.
Lay in an even layer on a baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, making sure to shake the pan half way through.
Place roasted chickpeas on parchment paper and allow them to dry.
Eat and enjoy!
Place in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Please note, the longer they stay in the container the softer they may become, I like to reheat and place on a baking sheet for 5-10 minutes to get them crunchy again.
