I was pretty excited when I was approached by the company, Little Green Pouch to review their product. Although my little ones are getting older (my youngest is 4) I remember when they were babies and could barely feed themselves. I struggled with finding healthy foods that they could eat on their own. ON THEIR OWN being the operative words. When I had my third, I was busy taking care of my other two and I really struggled with how to feed them all at once (can anyone relate?) There were a few healthy applesauces on the market, but that was it. I wanted variety and I didn’t want to spend all that money for “convenience”. I am sure many other consumers agree with me.
Little Green Pouch offers a REUSABLE food pouch for babies and kids (and grownups, don’t judge me). Their reusable food pouches help save money over the disposable ones, create less waste and help their kids (and themselves) eat healthier. They are dishwasher and freezer sage (awesome) and BPA, PVC & Phthalate Free (basically just junky chemicals you don’t want your kids to ingest). I’m sold on the idea. Now to test the product.
I used my Unsweetened Pear Applesauce which is a perfect for my 4 year old (or anyone really).
I spooned the applesauce in right on the top of the pouch (one of the 3 recommended ways to fill the pouch) and it went right in. Zipped up the top, took the cap off and handed it to my little guy. I loved the measurement reading on the back side ( 2 oz, 4 oz, 6 oz and 7 oz which is the maximum fill line) which is perfect for infants and babies that you need to know precise measurements. 4 year olds don’t care how much is in there. He just sucked down the whole thing. Happily.
He loved it! It was easy to use and super simple to squeeze (that applesauce didn’t stand a chance!)
I did have to grab the little green pouch out of the garbage because he threw it away (out of habit) and I explained to him that these are reusable. He smiled and said “Cool”. I totally agree little guy 🙂
