This treat may seem decadent, but it’s actually super healthy! All of the flavors of your favorite dessert, packed in one smoothie.
I need to give a full disclosure before I start this post, I have never actually had a banana split. Weird? Maybe, but it’s true. Now that I’ve made this smoothie several times, I think it’s fair to say that I have become a huge fan!
You know how you have random childhood memories that always stick with you? A friend of mine and her family would take me out for ice cream. I would always order a scoop of mint chocolate chip, a scoop of cookies and cream, peanut butter sauce and hot fudge. Never, ever, ever any whipped cream. Ever. My friend’s whole family always ordered banana splits. I thought it was weird that they would always all get the same thing. The flavors seemed weird to me too. But now I realize what I didn’t like about it was all of that darn whipped cream. Yuck!
I know, again, I am most likely in the minority saying this…I do not like whipped cream. Never have and never will. But I found this vegan whipped cream that doesn’t taste so whipped-creamy. Feel free to use the regular kind if you’d like! This is a great way for kids to feel like they are getting a treat but it’s actually vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free! Shhhh…I won’t tell if you won’t.
Silk Vanilla Cashew Milk is creamy, is low calorie, plant-based, verified non-GMO and contains no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives. I love to use it as a dairy-free alternative for my overnight oats, smoothies and even in my baking. It’s a great way to cut calories in my favorite cookie and cake recipes!

Thank you Jocelyn!
I can’t believe you hate whipped cream! I use a ton of it when it comes to summer (esp in no bake desserts). I’ll forgive you though since you made these awesome banana split smoothies ๐
I’ve never had a split either…but I’d certainly try this!
I didn’t order banana splits as a kid because I didn’t like strawberry sauce – crazy right!? I’ve seen the error of my ways and love them now, though I haven’t had one in years. I love that you’ve put the flavors into a smoothie, I definitely need to go the healthier route these days.
Glad you made things right by making a banana split smoothie ๐ Dessert for breakfast is the way to go! Making this right now.
I will totally take your whipped cream and one of these smoothies of course!
Oh my – I think I could even get my picky daughter interested in this yummy smoothie! (She’s not a fan of whipped cream either so we’d leave it off hers…) Fantastic!
I love SILK and I am drooling just looking at these pictures! Almost looks like something you’d see in an ice cream parlor. Cannot wait to try the cashew milk!!
