I know I have posted this before, but since my blog was revamped, I can’t find my kale crisp recipe!! So…here it goes…
These are ridiculously easy. The beauty of these are that you can make them different every time! You can add different cheeses, spices, oils, nuts or seeds. I have made Parmesan Chia Seed Kale Crisps, Peanut Kale Crisps with Sesame Seeds…the possibilities are endless!
1 bunch curly kale, cleaned and dried
1 tablespoon oil (I use a Misto oil sprayer to evenly spray on kale)
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1 tablespoon grated asiago cheese
2 tablespoons pine nuts
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- With a knife or kitchen shears, cut off the ends and tear into pieces. Spray oil all over kale. Sprinkle salt and cheese over top and place into preheated oven. Bake for 15 minutes or until edges turn light brown but not burnt.
- While kale is cooking, place pine nuts in a dry skillet over medium-low heat. Continue to shake the pan to prevent burning. It will only take minutes for pine nuts to turn light brown and fragrant. Transfer pine nuts to a bowl.
- When kale crisps are finished, place them in the same bowl as the pine nuts and mix carefully. ENJOY 🙂
I apologize, the picture isn’t great and kale crisps aren’t the most photogenic, but you get the idea….
So go ahead, get creative with your kale crisps! Let me know how YOU like to make them 🙂
